Yogesh Bansal Publishes Seminal Text
Dr. Yogesh Bansal (CE Ph.D. '02) has recently published, along with CEE professor Marek-Jerzy Pindera, a book entitled Finite-Volume Micromechanics of Heterogeneous Periodic Materials: An Attractive Alternative to the Finite-Element Based Homogenization of Heterogeneous Media. Bansal's work has triggered a sequence of similar developments in China and Brazil, and most recently in Europe. According to Pindera, current Civil Engineering Ph.D. candidates, Hamed Khatam and Marcio Cavalcante, are leading the way in making significant contributions to Yogesh's original theory.
