Research and Teaching
Interests
Current research is focused on the development of efficient computational and homogenization techniques for the analysis, design and optimization of heterogeneous materials & structures with different microstructural architectures, and the analysis of underlying theoretical issues. Mixed boundary-value problems in anisotropic layered materials & structures,
including contact and crack problems, are also a focus.
Currently taught courses at the undergraduate level include statics, linear algebra and ordinary differential equations. The graduate level courses include theory of elasticity, mechanics of composite materials, inelastic solid mechanics
and micromechanics of heterogeneous media.
